Monday, October 8, 2007 – updated: 3:52 pm EDT September 5, 2008

Today not too many partnerships last thirty plus years and that have been so beneficial to so many. On September 22nd one of the most productive community partnerships in Central Florida will be celebrating their 32nd year and in doing so have raised over one and half million dollars to help thousands of Central Floridians.

The Central Florida Auto Dealers Association (CFADA) and the Epilepsy Association of Central Florida (EACF) will be holding the 32nd Annual CFADA “AutoClassic” Golf Tournament on Monday, September 22, 2008. “We are extremely proud of this partnership that has helped so many over the years.” Said George Nahas, “AutoClassic” Chairman. “Dealers live in and do business here, and, we want to give back to our community.” Nahas added.

“Epilepsy is the nation’s number one neurological disorder affecting nearly 2.5 out of every 100 Americans, and, epilepsy can happen to anyone and anytime.” said Chuck Carmen, Executive Director of the Epilepsy Association. “Without the CFADA and the “AutoClassic” we would not be able to serve as many Central Floridians with epilepsy as we do with medical care and support services. We are so grateful to the Members of the CFADA and for all they have done for us.” Carmen added. Nearly 500 Central Floridians with epilepsy are helped every month by EACF by providing doctor visits, laboratory testing, diagnostic testing, medications, free bicycle helmets, and much more. The Association is also one of the nation’s leaders in the education and prevention of Shaken Baby Syndrome.

This year’s event will be held at the beautiful Alaqua Country Club. For more information on the “AutoClassic” and epilepsy you can visit www.epilepsyassociation.com or call 407-422-1416.
