A group of Osceola County students is getting more than a diploma for graduation. One of their teachers saved their childhood memories in a time capsules for nearly a decade. Now, Karen Edge is returning the closed coffee cans her students stuffed full of stuff from their childhood as they graduate.“They've been in my garage for 9 years in a box,” said Edge. “They are just simple metal containers but inside is a trip to a simpler time,” she added. We watched as a student opened a can pulling out a ballet slipper.Another can contained a tooth.“I have no idea what's in mine. Probably something about backstreet boys or spice girls,” said Lindsey Wakefield.“It probably has something to do with animals. I was really into reptiles and snakes and stuff, “ said Alex Spilios. “I've looked forward to this day as much as they have,” said Edge. The students all remember Edge and the start she gave them. She was actually their teacher for three years. When they go off to college, they can take the items from the cans with them.Edge told Channel 9 she found all but about a half dozen of her students. If you are one of those students, then she is still looking for you.
