Chattanooga, TN -- (Sports Network) - Shuan Stegall notched a double-double with a game-high 29 points and 14 rebounds in leading the Kennesaw State Owls to a 78-72 win over the Alabama State Hornets in the consolation round of the Dr. Pepper Classic from McKenzie Arena. Ronell Wooten also had a big night for the Owls (4-10), as he poured in 27 points on the strength of 6-of-13 shooting from long range. Moses Edun and Richard Lott each scored 13 points to lead the Hornets (2-9) in defeat. Tremayne Moorer turned in 12 points and six rebounds off the bench, while Joel Bosh chipped in with 10 points in the setback. The Owls shot 50.0 percent from the floor in the first half, taking a 36-30 lead into the break. In the second frame, Kennesaw State made 6-of-12 shots from long distance and 12-of-15 at the foul line, as it held on for the six-point victory.
