Riverside, CA -- (Sports Network) - Sean Cunningham netted 22 points and dished out five assists to lead the UC Riverside Highlanders over the UC Davis Aggies, 75-66, in Big West Conference action.

Aaron Scott posted 13 points and four steals for UCR (8-20, 4-12 BWC), which clinched a spot in the upcoming conference tournament with the win. Larry Cunningham contributed 12 points, and Christian Soto had 11 points and six boards in the victory.

Dominic Calegari led the charge for the Aggies (9-22, 2-14) with 22 points and five rebounds. Mark Payne recorded 15 points, while Kyle Brucculeri and David Carter chipped in with 12 and 11 points, respectively.

The Highlanders connected on 47.8 percent of their field goals in the first half to take a narrow 27-25 lead to the break.

UCR shot an unconscious 71.4 percent from the floor in the second frame, as it pulled away for the nine-point victory.

The Highlanders won the battle on the glass, 28-16, and that included a 10-5 edge at the offensive end.
