Fresno, CA -- (Sports Network) - Kevin Bell tallied a game-best 21 points and dolled out six assists as the Fresno State Bulldogs outlasted the Liberty Flames, 71-62, as part of the World Vision Classic at the Save Mart Center. Bryan Harvey came off the bench and scored 14 points for the Bulldogs (2-0), while Dwight O'Neil added 11 points and five rebounds. Fresno State, which opened the season with a 75-68 win over the University of Portland, will conclude its four-team, round-robin tournament against San Diego State on Sunday. Anthony Smith headed the charge for Liberty (0-2) with 17 points on 7-of-14 field goals. B.J. Jenkins netted 16 points and Alex McLean notched a double- double with 10 points and 14 rebounds in the losing cause. The Flames, who lost their opener to San Diego State (62-50), will finish their stay in this tournament against Portland on Sunday. In the opening half, Fresno State shot 40.0 percent from the floor to grab a 30-23 lead at the break. The Bulldogs converted 16-of-24 free-throw attempts in the second half, as they posted the nine-point win. Fresno State forced Liberty into 14 turnovers, while committing just nine itself.
