New Orleans, LA -- (Sports Network) - Mark Dorris nailed a jump shot with three seconds remaining in regulation to give the Marshall Thundering Herd a thrilling, 70-68 victory over the Tulane Green Wave in Conference-USA action at the Fogelman Arena. Dorris finished with 16 points for Marshall (16-12, 8-7 C-USA), while Markel Humphrey and Tirrell Baines both contributed 20 points apiece in the victory. Tyler Wilkerson tallied a double-double for the Herd, netting 10 points to go along with 10 boards. David Gomez scored 14 points and collected seven rebounds for Tulane (15-14, 5-10), while Kevin Sims contributed 13 points. Robinson Louisme posted 11 points and pulled down six caroms for the Green Wave, while Eric Vianney chipped in 10 points off the bench. The Green Wave crushed Marshall in the first half, shooting 54.2 percent from the field, while going into the break with a 35-28 lead. The Herd returned the favor in the second stanza, shooting a staggering 65.0 percent from the floor en route to the two-point win. Marshall connected on 20-of-24 attempts from the foul line, while Tulane made 15-of-21 shots from the charity stripe.
