Ann Arbor, MI -- (Sports Network) - E'Twaun Moore shot 7-of-14 from the floor, including 3-of-5 from beyond the arc, en route to a 17-point performance as 15th-ranked Purdue defeated Michigan, 72-58, at Crisler Arena.Keaton Grant added 17 points for the Boilermakers (24-7, 15-3 Big Ten), who closed out the regular season by winning three of four. Robbie Hummel finished with 11 points and five assists, while Marcus Green chipped in eight points and seven rebounds. DeShawn Sims poured in 19 points for the Wolverines (9-21, 5-13), who have lost three straight and four of five overall. Ekpe Udoh had 13 points, nine boards and six assists, while Manny Harris donated 10 points in the loss. Purdue will enter the Big Ten Tournament in Indianapolis as the second seed and will play the winner of the matchup between seventh-seeded Penn State and 10th-seeded Illinois. Michigan will go in as the ninth seed and face off against eighth-seeded Iowa in the opening round. Michigan started the game strong, racing out to an 11-5 lead after Udoh nailed a jumper. Green's two free throws gave Purdue its first lead of the game, 20-18, with 6:53 remaining in the first half. In the final minute, Anthony Wright stroked a three and Michigan held a slim 31-29 advantage at the break. The Wolverines continued to play front-runner in the second half, but began to stumble midway through the stanza. Harris knocked down a trey to make it 50-46 with 9:49 left in regulation. However, Michigan saw its four-point cushion transform into a one-point deficit, as Moore hit a jumper and Grant drained a three with 7:38 remaining that gave Purdue a lead it would not relinquish. The margin ballooned to 67-54 after Scott Martin sank a pair of free throws and Purdue cruised to the finish. Game Notes Purdue owns a 79-60 advantage over Michigan in the all-time series...The Boilermakers shot 40 percent (22-of-55) from the field, while holding Michigan to 35.7 percent (20-of-56)...Moore had five rebounds and four assists...Purdue's Chris Kramer and Michigan's Kelvin Grady each registered three steals...Purdue won the battle on the glass, 41-33.
