NCAA Game Summary - William & Mary Vs. Old Dominion

Richmond, VA -- (Sports Network) - Danny Sumner and Laimis Kisielius both scored 16 points as the William & Mary Tribe held on to defeat the Old Dominion Monarchs, 63-60, in the quarterfinals of the Colonial Athletic Association Tournament at Richmond Coliseum. Also scoring in double figures for the Tribe (16-15) was Nathan Mann who tallied 10 points and also handed out six assists. David Schneider chipped in nine points and dished out seven assists for William & Mary which will now face VCU in the semifinals of the tourney on Sunday. ODU (17-15) was paced by Gerald Lee with a game-high 20 points, followed by Brian Henderson with 15 points. Neither team shot the ball well in the first half, yet even with just 29.2 percent from the field, including a dismal 4-of-17 behind the three-point line, W&M still held a slight 24-23 advantage at the break. In the second half the Tribe turned it around with an incredible 73.7 percent from the floor, including all but one of seven tries beyond the arc, as the squad pulled out the three-point win. Old Dominion finished the afternoon hitting just 37.5 percent from the field and 7-of-21 behind the three-point line.
