NCAA Game Summary - Loyola-Chicago At Wisconsin-Milwaukee

Milwaukee, WI -- (Sports Network) - J.R. Blount dropped in a game-high 23 points, as the eighth-seeded Loyola-Chicago Ramblers upended the fifth-seeded Wisconsin-Milwaukee Panthers, 57-51, in the first round of the Horizon League Tournament. Blount made 8-of-11 shots from the floor, as Loyola-Chicago (12-18) moves on to tangle with Illinois-Chicago in the second round on Friday. Tracy Robinson netted 13 points in the win, and Ross Forman had 10 points of his own. Ricky Franklin led the way for UW-Milwaukee (14-16) with 17 points, while Deion James put forth 14 points and five boards off the bench. The Panthers shot a dreadful 24.1 percent from the floor in the opening frame and they trailed, 19-17, at the break. In the second period, the Ramblers knocked down 65.0 percent of their attempts from the floor, as they claimed the six-point victory. UW-Milwaukee won the battle on the boards, 40-22, but Loyola-Chicago held a 40-22 advantage in points in the paint.
