Baton Rouge, LA -- (Sports Network) - LSU head coach Les Miles announced Friday that quarterback Ryan Perrilloux has been dismissed from the football team.Miles had suspended Perrilloux in February for failing to follow team rules. He would not elaborate on the reason for the dismissal in a statement on Friday. "Ryan was given every opportunity to be a part of this football team," Miles said. "In the end, he didn't fulfill his obligation as an LSU student-athlete. We hope that a new beginning will benefit him. "I wish Ryan and his family nothing but the best in any of his future endeavors." Perrilloux played a big role in helping LSU to the national championship last season. He started the SEC title game in place of Matt Flynn and helped the Tigers to a 21-14 victory over Tennessee, throwing for 243 yards with a touchdown and an interception on 20-of-30 passing. Last season, Perrilloux completed 51-of-75 passes for 694 yards with eight touchdowns and two interceptions.
