New Mexico State QB Holbrook To Return For Senior Season

Wednesday, January 9, 2008

(Sports Network) - New Mexico State quarterback Chase Holbrook has decided to return for his senior season after exploring the possibility of entering the NFL Draft.

Holbrook, a projected sixth round pick, started 12 of the Aggies 13 games this season, completing 70.2 percent of his passes for 3,866 yards and 26 touchdowns.

"I used the advisory board to explore where I was projected to go in the draft," Holbrook said. "I feel like I have some unfinished business in Las Cruces and with the Aggies. This will be a great opportunity for me to come back and help the team reach its goal of make a bowl and I plan to do everything I can to make that happen. I love being an Aggie and want to be a part of a special year for the football team."

Holbrook returns already holding New Mexico State's all-time records for total offense, passing yards, pass attempts, pass completions, passing touchdowns and completion percentage.
