Winston-Salem, NC -- (Sports Network) - The Demon Deacons of Wake Forest ended NC State's four-game win streak Saturday at BB&T Field as Riley Skinner threw for two touchdowns and 208 yards in the 38-18 victory over its ACC opponent. Skinner connected on 20-of-29 passes in the Demon Deacons (7-4, 5-3 ACC) route. Josh Adams led the rushing attack with 84 yards and a score. De'Angelo Bryant only touched the ball four times, but caught and rushed for touchdowns in the win. Kenneth Moore hauled in a game-high eight receptions for 83 yards. The defense was stellar in holding its opponent to 57 yards rushing and forcing four turnovers. Turnovers and a poor running game doomed the Wolfpack (5-6, 3-4). Quarterback Daniel Evans threw three interceptions in hitting just 24-of-56 throws for 286 yards and a touchdown. Darrell Blackman caught seven balls for a game-high 114 yards. Jamelle Eugene punched in a touchdown, but rushed for just 3.1 yards per carry. Bryant capped off a first-quarter drive with a one-yard touchdown run to give Wake Forest an early 7-0 lead. Kicker Steven Hauschka got the Wolfpack on the board with a 42-yard field goal early in the second quarter. From four yards out, Adams made it an 11-point Demon Deacon advantage with a four-yard scamper to pay dirt. Bryant brought down a five-yard touchdown pass from Skinner late in the second quarter to put Wake Forest up 21-3 at halftime. After the half, Evans brought the Wolfpack back in the game by hitting Matt Kushner on a six-yard strike. Eugene followed that with a plunge into the end zone, and the two-point conversion made it a three-point game late in the third quarter. With the tide turning towards NC State, the Deacons immediately answered as Skinner hit Williams for a 62-yard TD on their next offensive play. Sam Swank padded the lead with a 37-yard field goal midway through the fourth quarter, and Aaron Curry solidified the win with a 57-yard interception returned for a touchdown on NC State's next drive. After a brief scare in the second half, the Demon Deacon defense clamped down and pulled out a victory.
