Teen Accused Of Killing Own Mother Won't Go To Trial

BUNNELL, Fla. -- Kinncy H. Gourdet is heading to the state hospital and not to trial.

The 17-year-old Palm Coast man was charged with second degree murder in the stabbing death of his mother at their home in November of last year. News-journalonline.com reports that the judge in the case found that Gourdet is not competent to stand trial.

The teen will undergo periodic evaluation to see if he is able to be brought to trial.
