Police Commander Faces Battery Charges

TAVARES, Fla. -- David Call, an Apopka police commander, has turned himself in. According to OrlandoSentinel.com, the 17-year officer faces charges of aggravated battery.

The charges stem from a fight outside a bar in Mt. Dora back in February. The police commander is accused of punching a man and his sister.

A second officer who was listed as a suspect was not charged in the incident.
