Underaged Teens Found Dancing At Nude Bar

Playmates is a place for adult entertainment but Cocoa police say they found young girls inside the strip club dancing with barely any clothes on.

One girl was only 15-years-old and when Eyewitness News caught up with her mother she was disgusted.

"They didn't get one child out, they got two minors out," said Rosemary Lumpkin.

Lumpkin says she got an anonymous call Friday night from someone claiming her 15-year-old daughter was a stripper at the business. She immediately called Cocoa police and officers raided the adult night club.

During the raid, police found Lumpkin's daughter and another 17-year-old girl who was also stripping.

Lumpkin told Eyewitness News that she walked into the club with officers and saw her topless daughter sitting next to a grown man.

"The only thing that makes me so mad is the club is still open," Lumpkin said.

Cocoa police investigators say they are working with code enforcement and the State Attorney's Office to attempt to close down the business.

Eyewitness News tried to get some answers from the club's owner but was asked to leave the business.

Police say both girls told them they thought dancing was a good way to make money.

Lumpkin's daughter has not been talking to her so she does not know how long she has been working at the strip club.

"How could you not know your daughter was dancing there?" asked WFTV reporter Kenneth Moton.

"Easy, because I'm not a security guard. She could be sneaking out of the window," Lumpkin said. "You've got to sleep sometime."

After the girls were discovered in the club, the Department of Children and Families visited Lumpkin's home on Saturday. Workers did not take her daughter into custody.
