Home Security Cams Pay Off For Palm Bay Man

A Palm Bay man says all the money he spent on a home security system was well worth the expense. His security system caught burglars in the act and now he needs the public's help to learn the crooks' identities.

The security cameras captured clear images of the burglars' faces as the two men returned to the Palm Bay home a second time. Palm Bay police say the burglars broke into the house the night before and pointed the cameras toward the ground.

The homeowner was able to fix the cameras and reset the alarm before the second break-in.

"Since I was away, I went on the Internet right away and checked my security cameras and saw they were pointing toward the ground," said homeowner, Chris Moffatt.

Video from the surveillance cameras shows one of the thieves walking around the home. At that point in the video the home alarm was blaring so the crook did not have time to grab anything.

The homeowner told Eyewitness News he paid one $1,000 dollars for his security system and says it was worth every cent.
