Girl Admits Making Up 'Candy Man' Story

LONGWOOD, Fla. -- Seminole County investigators say a girl who claimed a strange man approached her at a bus stop in Longwood has admitted to making up part of her story.

The girl claimed a man asked her if she wanted candy Monday evening, but it turns out the girl admitted to officers that she embellished the story and the whole thing was a misunderstanding.

The man was actually a father trying to give his son his homework.
