POSTED: 11:12 am EDT May 11, 2008
UPDATED: 9:43 am EDT May 12, 2008

A Kissimmee woman, her husband, and adult son were in custody Sunday morning following their arrest on charges of child abuse. Osceola County deputies found four juveniles in a home Saturday and said indications were the children were held against their will.

Sameena Jaweed was arrested Saturday afternoon as deputies and Florida's Department of Children and Families removed the juveniles, who ranged in age from 12 to 17.

Also arrested were her 22-year-old son, Farqan, and on Sunday her 59-year-old husband, Sadaqat Jaweed.

Acting on a tip of possible abuse, sheriff's deputies and DCF went to the Jaweed home on Warrior Lane around 12:20pm Saturday. No one answered the door but someone was observed inside the home through a window.

Sameena Jaweed was contacted at her place of employment and came to the house to let the deputies in. That is when deputies found the four kids and two adult siblings.

Further investigation turned up sufficient evidence that the juveniles were vicitms of abuse, and Sameena Jaweed was arrested. All four of the juveniles removed from the home were the children of Sameena and Sadaqat.

Sameena and Farqan Jaweed were in the Osceola County jail on Sunday while Sadaqat Jaweed was in custody in Orange County. The investigation by the sheriff's office and DCF is continuing.
