Seminole County Approves Plan For New School

SEMINOLE COUNTY, Fla. -- After years of delays, the Seminole County School District has approved plans to build a new elementary school in Sanford. The new facility will replace the old Midway Elementary School (see map).The school board Tuesday night approved a $13.3 million contract to build the new school.The old structure dates back to the days of segregation.The new school could open in January of 2010.
