"American Idol 2" runner-up Clay Aiken's debut CD is on its way to going platinum.

"Measure Of A Man" is 20,000 CDs shy of selling one million copies. In just over three weeks, nearly 980,000 copies have been sold.

According to RCA, "Measure of A Man" is the highest-selling debut album since 1993, when Snoop Dogg released "Doggy Style."

It is also the third fastest-selling album this year.
