Orlando Food & Wine FestOrlando's premier jazz radio station, Smooth Jazz 103.1 WLOQ, Orlando Home & Leisure magazine and the Florida Restaurant and Lodging Association (FRLA) are combining efforts to present the city with its inaugural Orlando Food and Wine Fest.On Saturday (12p-9p) and Sunday (12p-6p), November 15th and 16th, 2008, Orlando residents can hit the streets of downtown to experience live music along with some of the city's best culinary offerings from the region's most popular restaurants.The Orlando Food and Wine Fest presented by EGP, the document imaging people and your local Lincoln Mercury dealers will feature live entertainment from award-winning artists, including Craig Chaquico, former Jefferson Starship lead guitarist and chart-topping artists the Sax Pack, among others. Restaurants offering culinary selections range from Emeril's Tchoup Tchoup, Primo's, Boheme, and Kobe Steakhouse to Urban Flats, Funky Monkey and Sonny's Bar-B-Q. Attendees can enjoy wine tastings, live instructional cooking demonstrations, a chef's stage and even an outdoor sports bar. Each restaurant will be offering approximately three items. Food and drinks will range from $2.00 to $8.00 and you can purchase food/drink tickets with cash once inside the venue. The event takes place on Robinson Street, along Lake Eola between Rosalind and Eola Drive. This wide boulevard offers plenty of room for strolling in a picturesque setting bordering beautiful Lake Eola Park in downtown Orlando.
