Mall at Millenia 5K or 10K WalkThe Mid-Florida Milers Walking Club promotes recreational walking for fun and fitness. They will host a walk through the area of the Mall at Millenia, on Saturday, July 5th, 2008. The walk will start at in the Target parking lot, at the Millenia Mall, 4200 Conroy Rd., Orlando, FL 32839. Register between 8:00 & 9:00am.

The walk is sanctioned by the American Volkssport Association and is open to the public. Walkers are given a guide with detailed written instructions and are welcome to walk with a group, a companion, or by themselves. Participants begin walking as soon as they register.

The route goes through surrounding residential areas and ends with a cool finish through the Mall itself. Shopping optional, but encouraged! Suitable for wheelchairs and strollers, but pets not permitted.

The cost is $3.00 for AVA Credit. Non-credit walkers can walk for free. The distance is 10 kilometers (6 miles); and a shorter 5 kilometer (3 miles) trail will be available.

 Driving Directions:

- From Orlando or Tampa on I-4 use exit 76, Conway Rd. and turn south to the 1st light (after the freeway). Turn left and left again into Target.

The Mid-Florida Milers are members of the American Volkssport Association. "Volkssport" means "people-sports." The walks are non-competitive and follow pre-determined routes, making them an excellent activity for the whole family. The events encourage physical activity and appreciation of the outdoors. They are designed for people of all ages and levels of physical fitness.
