July 4th Watermelon 5k Run & WalkThe 3.1-mile run/walk begins at 7:30am followed by the kids' run at 8:45am. It's an All-American celebration where runners and walkers enjoy shade and fanfare along the 3.1-mile course through scenic Winter Park neighborhoods.

It's time for fun in the sun! Gather friends, family and neighbors for a morning to celebrate our country's independence with food, and fitness! All runners receive a festive t-shirt and plentiful refreshments ice-cold watermelon and more for everyone!

Entry Fee

Entry fees are non refundable. Online SAME price as cash or check! Register Online through Wednesday, July 2.

Entry Fees is $18 June 23; June 24 – July 3 $22; $30 on race day at race site. A special $10 rate is offered to runners/walkers age 17 & under and age 65-over; and to veterans, active duty and reservists from any branch of the U.S. Military. Free Kids' Run.

Support Our Troops

Show your support again this year for soldiers serving in Iraq by joining the Track Shack Foundation in sending care package items. This year your efforts will benefit Orlando native, Chaplain William "Chip" Nicolas and the 3rd Battalion Combat Team, 4th Infantry-Division currently Currently in their 6th month of service in Baghdad, Iraq. Chaplain Nicholas says, "Soldiers love just about anything." Suggested items include:

- Toiletries (soap, toothbrushes, personal care items)

- Music
- Cards and letters
- Magazines
- Novels
- Phone cards

The Striker Brigade has several missions in and around Baghdad, mainly to continue their vital resupply mission and contain the violence in the Sadr City region.

Parking will be available in the vicinity of Denning Drive and Orange Avenue. From I-4 take the Fairbanks exit (#87) and head east on Fairbanks to Denning Drive. Turn right onto Denning Drive. PLEASE NOTE: Registration and race start is approximately ¼ mile from this parking area.
