City of Kissimmee's Annual July Fourth Celebration
The City of Kissimmee will hold its annual July Fourth Celebration on Wednesday, July 4th, 2008, from 5:00pm until 9:30pm at Kissimmee's Lakefront Park. The event features live entertainment, concerts by Pocket Change (hits from the 50s to 80s) and Glenn Cumming and the Session Hounds. And the children will have a blast playing in the KUA Kids Land.A fantastic fireworks display (co-sponsored by Kissimmee Utility Authority) will take place over Big Lake Toho immediately following the concerts.You are welcome to bring your own food and beverages into Lakefront Park on the 4th of July, and coolers are allowed into the park (subject to search). However, please remember that personal barbecues, personal fireworks and alcoholic beverages brought from outside the park ARE NOT PERMITTED during Kissimmee July 4th Celebration.There are barbecues on the grounds that you may use. Beer and wine are available in the beer garden from 5:00pm until 9:00pm. You must be 21+ and you MUST present valid and acceptable ID to enter the beer garden. No beverages may be brought into or taken out of the beer garden. Non-alcoholic beverages are also available for sale inside the beer garden.Want to leave all the lawn chairs at home? For $5.00 you can purchase a wristband that will get you bleacher seating for both concerts and the Fireworks show. Seating is limited and can only be purchased on July 4th from our Information Booth.Are you concerned about parking? The City of Kissimmee will provide a free off-site bus shuttle service (on July 4th Only) from the Albertson's at Town Corral Plaza in Kissimmee, located on the corner of John Young Parkway and Highway 192 from 4:30pm to 10:30pm.
