City of Tavares 'Home of the Brave' July 4th CelebrationThe City of Tavares cordially invites you to attend its signature, family event: Home of the Brave Independence Day Celebration, Friday, July 4th, 2008. The event features lots of children's activities, a parade down Main Street at 5:00pm, delicious food, and live entertainment throughout Wooten Park.

The festivities will be held at Wooten Park, along scenic Lake Dora, in downtown Tavares. The fun begins at 3:00pm, then the parade begins at 5:00pm on Main Street, and the fireworks will begin at around 9:00pm. And don't miss the Living Statue shows.
