Free Independence Day at Morse Museum
In observance of Independence Day, the Morse Museum of American Art will provide FREE admission to its galleries on Friday, July 4th, 2008.The Winter Park museum will be open from 9:30am to 4:00pm, on Friday, July 4th in conjunction with Winter Park's Olde Fashioned July 4th Celebration in Central Park. The city celebration, from 9:00am until 1:00pm, includes live patriotic music, a hot dog eating contest, horse-drawn wagon rides, face painting and more.The museum traditionally has an open house on July 4th so that those attending Independence Day events in the park may enjoy American art at the Morse as part of their holiday outing.The Morse Museum is owned and operated by the Charles Hosmer Morse Foundation and receives additional support from the Elizabeth Morse Genius Foundation.
