On April 27th and 28th, 2013, Kit Land Nelson Park in Apopka will be  turned into an outdoor art gallery as more than 150 booths of fine juried arts and crafts fill the park for the 52nd Annual Apopka Art & Foliage Festival.  Paintings of all kinds, pottery, jewelry, sculpture, and more are featured in this two day outdoor festival.

Apopka's world famous, top quality foliage from 22 local nurseries will be ready for you to select the perfect plants for your home.  The festival will take place on Saturday from 9:00-5:00 and on Sunday from 10:00-4:00. and is expected to attract as many as 35,000 people.

Admission is free but there is a $5.00 parking fee that goes to the local Boy Scouts who park cars.  Enjoy delicious food from dozens of local vendors as you are entertained by local musical groups.  There are several children's areas where they can spend time in a butterfly netted tent,  make a bird house, have their face painted or make a sand art vase.  Bus tours will take you right into several Apopka foliage nurseries so you can get a firsthand look at  the growing of foliage and flowers.

The festival sponsored by The Apopka Woman's Club and the City of Apopka  is held in the serene Park at 441 N. Park Avenue in downtown Apopka.  Revenue from the event goes to local nonprofit organizations.
