The 38th Annual Indian River Festival takes place Saturday and Sunday, April 13th and 14th, 2013 at Sand Point Park in Titusville. General Admission is FREE! Festival hours are Saturday from 10:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m., and Sunday from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.
Come join the fun as we celebrate the Indian River, our natural resources, fresh local seafood and outdoor recreation activities. Event highlights include kayaking, arts & crafts, live music, children's activities, YMCA fitness challenge, cupcake decorating contest and more.
You might want to come hungry! Wild Ocean is preparing smoked mullet; Dixie Crossroads is offering raw and grilled oysters; Crackerjack's is serving up shrimp; Catfish Cabin is preparing....you guessed it.....catfish; and Loyd Have Mercy is serving up Sheepshead. YUM! All local, and straight from the Indian River....it's all part of the new festival mission to promote our local resources and environment!
The Indian River Festival is in the process of a rebirth. We are moving back towards the roots of this festival as a celebration of our unique local culturaland environmental assets. Businesses are invited you to participate in this transition year, and think BIG about their involvement in future years of this time-honored tradition.
The purpose of the 2013 event is to DEMONSTRATE the changes to the festival make-up and get people excited about watching the growth of the event in 2014. This is not intended to be a full festival. We will be inviting local dignitaries and media representatives to a kickoff celebration of the new Indian River Festival, and start a year-long awareness campaign for the 2014 event.
