In celebration of the country's 237th birthday the Main Street Merchants Association will be kicking off 4th of July festivities early on Wednesday, July 3, 2013 with the 2nd annual BBQ, Rhythm & Brews Festival on Main Street in Daytona Beach.
Association president, Denny Honeycutt, says that "having a street party on July 3rd is a great way to start the holiday with delicious food and lots of fun for the whole family - and then people will have the next day off."
Main Street will be closed for the festival from A1A to Peninsula Drive from 6pm to 12 midnight. Admission is free and open to the public.
New this year will be 2 blocks of collector cars and trucks on display, a special visit from the Budweiser Clydesdale Horses from 8pm-10pm, and fireworks off the Main Street pier at 11pm.
The BBQ, Rhythm & Brews Festival will feature several authentic Bar-B-Que vendors who will be serving up their own unique versions of BBQ, such as pulled pork, ribs, chicken and beef brisket. Other food options will also be available.
The BBQ, Rhythm & Brews Festival will also feature a kid’s zone with a jumpy house, face painting and more.
Musical entertainment will be abundant with four (4) stages of live music. The bands that will be performing are Steam the Band at Froggy’s Saloon, Crashrocket at The Bank, the Love Band will be outdoors in front of The Full Moon Saloon and Orange Avenue will be playing at The Main Street Station.
For enthusiasts of American craft beer, a variety of craft beers will be available at beer stations along Main Street.
