From the masterful hands of Renaissance greats to today's contemporary artisans, the time-honored process of printmaking is still vibrant and proliferating in fine art form. Using the same tried-and-true methods, along with more modern techniques, local artists get a chance to display their own representations during the Orlando Museum of Art's (OMA's) 1st Thursdays event "Impressions: The Printmaker's Art," February 7, from 6 to 9pm.

Larry Camp Trio will perform a treasury of jazz expressions from classic to American Songbook, while Vital Flair serves some extra-scrumptious culinary fare. Stepping up to the mic for poetic interpretations is Logan Anderson and a selection of poets who have left their mark. Experience firsthand the craft behind printmaking with a demonstration by Whitney Broadaway. And be sure to view selected print works by André Smith, founder of The Research Studio [now Maitland Art Center]. Café offerings, handcrafted beers, wine, soft drinks and water will be available for purchase throughout the evening.

Admission to 1st Thursdays is $10, always free for OMA Members, and includes admission to the OMA's featured exhibition Contemporary Glass Sculpture: Celebrating the 50th Anniversary of Studio Glass.
