Greater Titusville Renaissance, in partnership with Brevard County Parks and Recreation, the City of Titusville, and the Titusville Area Chamber of Commerce have invited The Food Truck Bazaar, the country's first traveling food truck event, to come to Titusville and make four monthly stops between September and December 2012.
This giant community dinner will finally have us looking forward to Mondays. Fourth Mondays, that is, from 6:00pm until 8:00pm at Sanpoint Park, 101 N. Washington Avenue in Titusville (the December event takes place on the third Monday). While there, folks will set up their folding chairs, hop in line with friends and family, then all gather together for a delightful outdoors foodie fest.
What to expect?
Gourmet, ethnic, BBQ and dessert. The trucks have been hand selected by Producer Mark Baratelli, the very first person to put on a traveling food truck event of this type. "I want to bring the Orlando food truck scene to Titusville for a couple of hours, once a month, and I've got the greatest trucks to share with Titusville," said Baratelli.
Baratelli was recently named by the Orlando Business Journal as a 40 Under 40 award winner in 2012 and The Food Truck Bazaar was named Best Food Event 2012 (2nd Place) by Edible Orlando Magazine. “We think this partnership is a great way to promote our community. Not only does it bring a great family event to Titusville, but it also taps into a network of events across Central Florida and helps draw people from other part of the region to Titusville – giving them a chance to see our community first hand,” says Robin Fisher, Brevard County Commissioner, District 1. “These events are not designed to compete with local restaurants, as a matter of fact, we picked Monday nights specifically because it is not a high volume night for most restaurants. It is an event designed to appeal to families and food lovers – it’s a huge community picnic, and a great way to meet your neighbors and spend quality time together,” says Marcia Gaedcke, President of the Titusville Area Chamber of Commerce.
