The Save the Manatee Club and Blue Spring Alliance will sponsor a free public forum to address manatee conservation issues from 2 to 4 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 1, at Lyonia Environmental Center, 2150 Eustace Ave., Deltona.

Wayne Hartley, a former park ranger at Blue Spring State Park, will discuss his 30 years of research on the parks’ manatees. Patrick Rose, an aquatic biologist and executive director of the Save the Manatee Club, will discuss the new Blue Spring webcams. Dr. Katie Tripp, the club’s director of science and conservation, will address manatee and water conservation issues and give tips on how the public can protect manatees and their habitat.
