Get ready for some knee-slappin’ musical entertainment! Washboard and banjo duo Cracked Walnuts will perform “Music of the Civil War – The lighter side” from 3 to 4 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 12, at the Daytona Beach Regional Library at City Island, 105 E. Magnolia Ave.
Jeff and Jan Ausfahl will perform Old Dan Tucker, Goober Peas, Yellow Rose of Texas and other 19th century favorites during the free concert.
The duo performs at local, county and state fairs, festivals and other venues up and down the East Coast. Jeff Ausfahl has a bachelor’s degree in jazz guitar and a master’s degree in classical guitar. Jan Ausfahl is a passionate percussionist who has played trombone at the Roseland Ballroom and Latin American music clubs in New York City.

The Daytona Beach Regional Library is open from 1 to 5 p.m. Sunday, 9 to 7 p.m. Monday through Thursday, and 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Friday and Saturday.
