We are all leaders of at least one person, ourselves.  Most of us lead others as well: our children; volunteers; committees; executives; employees; peers; etc.  When was the last time you clearly communicated your personal leadership philosophy to those you lead?  Do they know what you value, what you will tolerate and will not tolerate, what you expect of them and what they can expect of you?  When we clearly communicate these aspects and more, it builds trust with others as well as freeing us to act consistently based on our principles.  Don't you respect and trust those that live consistently with their professed set of values and beliefs?  To achieve a desired vision, teams must transition from where they are to where they need to be. To successfully transition, leaders must earn the trust of their team. The quicker and more concrete leaders earn the trust of their team, the more engaged the team will be and the greater the performance and results. On the other hand, without trust in their leaders… At best, members will just go along with the flow putting in just enough effort to stay unnoticed until they retire, find something better and leave, or the leaders change again. At worst, members will actively disengage and in many cases say they are on board, but covertly become an obstacle to success and influence others to join their efforts. Loyalties get tested and chaos and disunity are the result.  Leaders must be intentional to earn the trust of their team as it doesn’t happen by accident and in many relationships it can take a significantly long time. The Leader’s Compass expedites by 9 to 12 months building trust in your leader-team relationships. There will be three (3) Monday sessions that begin at 6 PM sharp:  March 4th, March 18th, & April 15th.   This will be held at Winter Garden's First Baptist Church in the Multi Purpose Room (MPR) next to the gymnasium.  No childcare will be provided for this event. The time schedule will be:6:00 pm – 9:00 pm for March 4th (initial session)6:00 pm – 8:00 pm for all other sessions Pizza and drinks will be provided.
