Attention teachers, staff, and alumni of public and private schools in Sanford and its communities: Do you have school-related items or memorabilia: photos, yearbooks, graduation programs, class projects, etc. that you would like to preserve in digital form? Do you have stories to share that would help bring those objects to life for current and future generations of students? The Public History Center invites you to join us for a free History Harvest scanning event and community workshop at the Student Museum on Saturday, March 2, from 1-5 p.m. Bring your school stuff and professionals from i/oTrak's E-Z Photo Scan service will make digital copies for you with state-of-art scanning equipment. With your permission, the Public History Center and UCF students will use digital copies of selected materials to create a new exhibit. Event begins at 1:00 p.m., with a special presentation/community workshop on preserving family collections at 2:00. Free refreshments, childrens activities, and museum tours will all be part of the fun. Join us as we collect and share memories of teaching and learning in Sanford and its communities!
