The City of Ocoee and the Ocoee Professional Firefighters Local 3623 will hold their 4th Annual St. Patrick’s Day Festival and Chili/Barbecue Cook-off competition. The festival will be held on Saturday, March 16 from 1:00 p.m. - 9:00 p.m. at Bill Breeze Park, 125 North Lakeshore Drive.
Families are encouraged to attend this free event which will include a car show, vendors, live music, a corn hole competition and carnival rides for the children. Live music featuring Burt “Bubba” Wilson, Jeff Howell, Bobby and Critter and Simlecast.
Of course, don’t forget your appetite. Attendees will have the opportunity of tasting and judging some of the best chili and barbecue in the Central Florida area. Judging will begin at 3:00 p.m.
All proceeds from this year’s fun-filled event will be donated to Building Homes for Heroes. Building Homes for Heroes is a national non-profit organization founded in 2006. The organization is committed to supporting those who have returned home from the wars in Iraq or Afghanistan with severe wounds and disabilities, with a goal to build homes for families in dire need. The City of Ocoee and the Ocoee Professional Firefighters Local 3623 are honored to join Building Homes for Heroes in their efforts to support those who have been called upon to make a tremendous personal sacrifice.
