The American Volkssport Association (AVA) promotes recreational walking for fun, fitness and friendship. During April 27-May 5, the national walking organization will gather in Orlando for their 18th Biennial Convention. During that time the Orlando-based walking club, the Mid-Florida Milers, will host walks that are open to the public and sanctioned by the International Volkssport Verband (IVV). Everyone is welcome!

On April 30, 2013 the walk will be held in Titusville, starting at Fox Lake Park & Sanctuary, 4400 Fox Lake Rd., Titusville, FL 32796. Participants may register and start the walk any time between 8:00 & 11:00am. Walkers will choose between 5 or 11 kilometer trails through an Environmental Endangered Lands (EEL) sanctuary showcasing the habitats and wildlife of Florida. Not suitable for strollers and wheelchairs. Pets are not permitted. The cost for the walk is $3 for each participant.
