National Public Lands Day is an opportunity for you to enjoy a City park and all it has to offer for FREE and particpate in many family activities. In Orlando, National Public Lands Day is Saturday, September 28th at Bill Frederick Park at Turkey Lake. The event runs from 9:00am until 3:00pm.
Come enjoy all that Orlando's premiere nature park has to offer. An animal farm, hiking, biking, fishing, playground, swimming pool, sand volleyball and disc golf. Enjoy an arborist tree climbing demonstration and then participate in the thrill of tree climbing.
The Orange County Mobile Plant Clinic will be available to provide free pH soil analysis.
There will also be an opportunity to register for a Guided Fishing Trip on Turkey Lake, participate in a Hayride Park Tour, help construct bat houses for the park, learn how YOUR BACK YARD can play a crucial role in protecting native wildlife.
