Will you be writing technical professional communication in your future career? Then come to the next Future Technical Communicators (FTC) meetings. This organization is primarily intended for students who are interested in pursuing careers in the technical communication field, although membership is open to students from all majors. Most of the student members are actively studying in some form of Writing, English, or Literature, but everyone is welcome and encouraged to join. Also, FTC works closely with the Orlando chapter of the Society for Technical Communication- Orlando Chapter, a professional organization intended for those working in the field of technical communication. We are continuing to focus on our relationship with STC going forward.
To kick off this new semester, we will be holding a meeting/ice cream social Wednesday, September 4 at 6:00pm in the Gazebo next to Colbourn Hall on campus. We will be discussing mentoring opportunities, workshops, upcoming elections, and more. This meeting is free to all students and requires no commitment. Come learn more about FTC and how to get involved!
We will be holding online meetings as well this semester for those who are unable to attend face-to-face meetings on campus. If you are interested in learning more about future meetings, please contact us so that we can ensure that you will be included in the next.
