The nation’s largest gathering of Christian women, Women of Faith, will tour 24 cities across the U.S. between August and November. Founded in 1996, Women of Faith is expected to welcome its five millionth attendee during the 2013 tour. The Women of Faith 2013 Believe God Can Do Anything tour features chart-topping musical artists Third Day and CeCe Winans, along with comedian Mark Lowry and world-class authors and Bible teachers Sheila Walsh, Lisa Harper, Holly Wagner and Max Lucado. “We are thrilled to be hosting the 2013 Women of Faith event in Orlando,” said Allen Johnson, executive director of Orlando Venues. “Women of Faith has a long history of delivering empowering messages to women and we are happy to be a part of that.”
The 2013 tour theme, Believe God Can Do Anything, was created to inspire women to let go of the pain, planning and stress by handing their lives over to the only One who can make anything possible, God.
“This year’s theme was created to refocus the minds of women, reminding them that we are not in control, God is and through Him we can find peace, healing and restoration,” said Barry Walsh, vice president of creative at women of faith.
Multiple studies show that women experience greater levels of stress than men on average, including work, home life, major life events and social and economic concerns, which, if not managed, can lead to post traumatic stress disorder, mental disorders, depression and other health problems.
“Whether it is a broken family situation, breast cancer or illness, infertility, problems with children, loss of a spouse or child, financial or marital difficulties, we want women to know that God is the ultimate healer and by clinging to Him pure refreshment will take root in their lives,” said Debbie Stuart, church and leadership development director for Women of Faith. “What we can offer at our events is hope and experiential renewal.”
Women of Faith has also partnered with producers Roma Downey and Mark Burnett to feature their series “The Bible,” whose success made History Channel the top cable network during this year’s tour. Women of Faith will incorporate a special collection of film footage from “The Bible” that will be woven throughout the event to bring a fresh creative element to the program.
