Oktoberfest is Orlando Brewing's biggest event of the year. We'll be commemorating over 200 years of German brewing tradition at this year's 7th Annual Oktoberfest Celebration.
At 1:00pm on September 21st we will hold a ceremonial tapping of Orlando Brewing's 2013 organic Oktoberfest brew. The celebration will continue all day with German food (starting 1:30pm C&S Brisket Bus), local vendors, a 3:00pm Cornhole tournament, traditional German music by Dan Witucki & Mein Heimatland Musikaten (4:00pm-9:00pm), and seventeen taps of beer brewed in the accordance with the German Purity Law of 1516, the Reinheitsgebot. "Reinheitsgebot" is a law decrees beer to be made with only four ingredients: water, hops, yeast and malted barley -- no additives, no adjuncts.
Oktoberfest is an organic Reinheitsgebot beer brewed with deep-well, charcoal filtered hard water from the Floridan aquifer, lager yeast, organic Hallertau hops and organic two-row Munich, Carapils and Caramel malted barley. The result is Oktoberfest, a medium bodied European amber lager with deep, rich malt character. It is initially malty sweet and finishes moderately dry with low hop bitterness.
