Join us for an exciting evening as the City of Casselberry celebrates Founders Day on Friday, October 11 from 6 - 9 p.m. in Lake Concord Park behind Casselberry City Hall at 95 Triplet Lake Drive. Classical music, creative art vendors, and great food will be on hand to help recognize the founding of the City of Casselberry on October 10, 1940. As part of the celebration, the City will be giving away azaleas to attendees while supplies last.
Throughout the park you will be entertained by the live classical music of the Orlando Concert Band. This 65-member wind ensemble, combined with vocal and instrumental soloists, performs symphonic and orchestral pieces, movie-themed music, and lively jazz. Music also includes a variety of the traditional, popular, and patriotic music you would expect to hear on weekends at a small-town bandstand in rural America.
Definitely not your typical art event, Art & Music in the Park and The Food Truck Bazaar (thefoodtruckbazaar) offers cutting-edge culinary flavors from more than 14 trucks. After dinner, stroll through the beautiful lakefront park and shop at the large variety of artisan booths selling unique jewelry, paintings, ceramics and featured photography by one of the artists, our “Artist of the Month”, Mike Moore.
Moore is a 30 year resident of Casselberry that has been doing photography work for over 37 years. He started out photographing family events and weddings but now specializes in nature, landscapes, macro photography. He has won several awards from the Orlando Camera Club.
Bring your own blankets and chairs and enjoy a fun evening under the stars. Free admission and parking. The Casselberry Art & Music in the Park and Food Truck Bazaar is held the second Friday of each month from 6 – 9 p.m. at Lake Concord Park, 95 Triplet Lake Dr. behind Casselberry City Hall.
