Join us for Third Thursday Opening Reception for I Believe, January 16th 2014 from 6:00pm until 9:00pm at the CityArts Factory as part of the Third Thursday Gallery Hop. Admission is FREE!
What do you believe in? What do you not? These are questions of fundamental importance, shaping our psychological orientation toward life. Our deeply held beliefs are often challenged by the complex social, economic and political worlds in which we live. Art for All Spaces invites you to a show about believing. Through words and images, artists share the beliefs that inform and inspire them. As a special treat, local poets will compose short verses based upon the artists' “I Believe” titles. At the opening reception, viewers express their beliefs by voting for their favorite works. Local Poets will be brought in by Poet Curator Chaz Yorik. We have many surprises in store, including a collaborative piece by a local artist and students from Ringling College of Art and Design. Come see the new work that artists have created for this thought provoking exhibit. This showing is sponsored by Melanie A. Mucario, Esq., now with Wilkins von Mertz, a state-wide law firm and known supporter of the arts, Seminole Cultural Arts Council, Planet Beach Contempo Spa, Baldwin Park and others.
Participating artists include; Ken Austin, Linda Brant, Marsha DeBroske, Stephanie Stalvey, Erick D Marquez, Kim Mathis, Janae Corrado, Doris Smart, Rik Hayes, Patricia Byron, Parker Sketch, Judy Batterson, Georgie Pratt, Bonnie Sprung, Tre Harris, Renee Wilson, Florita Realin, Saulius Jankauskas, Cathy Hempel and Kayla Prommersberger.
Also in the Orlando Magic Gallery on same night, Art For All Spaces associated Curator, Tre Harris will present "Framed" a photography exhibit.
