THE DYNAMIC IS BACK!
A decade after they first sat down to dinner in front of paying audiences, The Feldman Dynamic returns, in this - the project that started it all.
Brian Feldman’s real life family (comprised of him, his Mom, Dad and sister) sit down to dinner together on stage and discuss their daily drama. That’s it. There is no script and no rehearsal. There is also no video recording of any kind. This concept is to only be experienced live and in person.
Unlike in 2003, when the entire family lived together in Florida, The Feldman Dynamic is now separated by a distance of four states and 888 miles. This is also the first classic staging (proscenium style) in over 6 years. (Show history: http://brianfeldman.com/tfd_history.html)

“On February 14, 2003, I submitted an application to FringeNYC after having spent the better part of a decade trying to convince the three other members of my family to take part in a performance I first conceived of during the days and months leading up to my Bar Mitzvah while a student at the Hebrew Day School of Central Florida (now Jewish Academy of Orlando). I’ll never forget checking our mailbox every day for weeks, hoping and even praying that my proposed project would be accepted. When it was, my Mom - who had been the last holdout among my family to agree to participate (she first had to be diagnosed with metastatic breast cancer and almost die) - collapsed on a bed. After she was revived, she “officially” officially agreed to take her rightful place as matriarch of The Feldman Dynamic. (At one point during the decade long process, I had even considered hiring an actor to play my Mom.)”
“Being part of FringeNYC 2003 was a turning point in my creative career, one of the fondest memories I have of my family on anything resembling a “vacation,” and the project that started it all - leading me to become a full-fledged performance artist/conceptual artist/“what have you,” with all the benefits therein (i.e. looks of confused looks).”
