Celebrating 22 Years Of Home Brewing in Central Florida The Central Florida Home Brewers and World Of Beer in Altamonte Springs present the 22nd Annual Sunshine Challenge, coming up November 16, and 17, and being held at the Hilton Hotel in Altamonte Springs Florida. It is both a beer competition and a festival. Special guests and events make the Sunshine Challenge an amazing weekend celebrating craft beer.
"It's becoming the 'travel to' beer event in the state," says event co-chair JR Silva. "The whole weekend is very affordable and you certainly don't have to be a home brewer to attend or be interested in the craft beer revolution happening right now. The Sunshine Challenge is adventurous for both the mainstream beer lover and craft beer enthusiast."
This year the Sunshine Challenge is honoring Terrapin Brewing Company from Athens Georgia. Terrapin’s brewers will be on hand to discuss the art of brewing, their road to success and popularity in the South East along with their unique lineup of craft beers.
With so many events to take in and beer to taste, staying the weekend is wise way to fully experience this event. The host hotel is the Hilton Orlando Altamonte Springs and room rates for the weekend stay are just $79.00 per night.
Long standing attendees have come to know that Sunshine Challenge GOLD PASS ticket (pre-purchased online for $99 @cfhb.org) is the best value and allows entry to all feature events: the Friday Night Beer Festival, the Saturday Afternoon Pub Crawl and Saturday Night Awards Dinner, plus provides a commemorative T-shirt and specialty beer. Friday night Beer Festival tickets are available for only $35. Both ticket options are available online at www.cfhb.org/sunshine-challenge/events-and-schedule/.
