Four high school football state championships are on the line this weekend as the Road to Orlando continues. After some exciting games from the state’s smaller classifications (1A - 4A) last weekend, the larger classifications (5A, 6A, 7A & 8A) will play at the Florida Citrus Bowl this Friday and Saturday. The Central Florida Sports Commission, the City of Orlando, Edgewater High School and Orange County Public Schools are the co-hosts for the state finals.
“With several of the teams ranked nationally in various polls, there will be no shortage of talent on the field,” said Central Florida Sports Commission President & CEO John Bisignano. “With these great teams, including hometown Apopka High School playing Saturday night, the atmosphere this weekend is sure to be electric.”
Tickets are still on sale for the remaining title games. Back for the second year, fans have the ability to purchase a reserved seat ticket, with a limited number of reserved seats on sale for each game for $17. General admission seats for each game are $12. Tickets are on sale at Ticketmaster and the Amway Center Box Office. They can also be purchased on game day at the Citrus Bowl gates.
