Nilijah Ballew, a four-star safety out of Cincinnati's Walnut Hills, became the 85th member of the class of 2014 to commit to Louisville when he did so on Sunday. I think he actually might be the 8th, but either way, it's been a big week on the recruiting trail for Charlie Strong.
Ballew, who stands 6'2, 190-pounds, received a schoalrship offer from Louisville back in February. Shortly thereafter, he attended Louisville's junior day. The Cardinals were the first program to offer the rising senior a full ride.
Despite being a near-consensus four-star recruit, Ballew doesn't possess the offer list that you'd expect to see from a recruit of that stature. The reason for that is likely an ankle injury that forced him to miss six games during his junior season.
There are no highlight videos of Ballew on YouTube, but here's an interview where he puts to bed any doubt about whether or not he knows how to impressively wear a shirt.
