Saturday was a strong day for Mississippi State at the plate, as the Bulldogs pushed across 11 runs and stranded another 15 runners in their 11-6 game 1 win over Virginia in the Charlottesville Super Regional. But hitting wasn't the only MSU talent on display Saturday, as Brett Pirtle proved to all of us in the 9th inning.
Pirtle made two outstanding plays for the first two outs in the 9th inning Saturday, backing up Ross Mitchell to help State get out of the 9th and into a victory. Here's a look at those plays again, from multiple angles:
