Angel Cabrera and Adam Scott are headed to a playoff at Augusta National and the two will begin the additional holes right where the final round ended.
Both players made birdie on No. 18 to move to 9-under. They will now replay the 18th hole to start the playoffs in sudden death. If the two remain tied after playing No. 18 a second time, they will move on to No. 10. Assuming more holes are needed, they will go back to the 18th and repeat this process until a champion is crowned.
Scott put the pressure on by drilling a long birdie putt. Scott and his caddie Stevie Williams celebrated as if they had won, but turned out to be premature. Cabrera was not phases as he drilled his approach shot to within a couple of feet. He then easily sunk the birdie putt to move to 9-under and force playoff.
This is the second straight year the Masters has gone to sudden death as Bubba Watson won in a playoff last year.
