Course Knowledge:
Renowned throughout the world of golf and honored by numerous publications, Grand Cypress Resort is not only one of the top golf resorts in Orlando, but also, considered to be one of the top golf resorts in the world. Three separate, distinct nine-hole courses, simply named North, South and East, come together to form three magnificently challenging 18-hole combinations. Jack Nicklaus designed all four of the courses at Grand Cypress, including the popular St. Andrews-themed course called, The New Course. The South and East courses have more water hazards than the other layouts. The North/South combination is considered one of the best public golf courses in the state. The three 9-hole courses share similarities in their well-manicured, lush fairways and a generous rough. The greens are usually in great shape and roll true. One of the great things about playing at Grand Cypress is the "Digital Caddy System." Every golf cart comes equipped with a computer system that links with a satellite to provide the golfer with precise distances from the hole, bunkers around the green and other hazards. It is really quite amazing.
